Man Utd planning swoop for Brighton striker?
Manchester United are reportedly considering a surprise swoop for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Evan Ferguson this summer.
The Red Devils are expected to bolster their strikeforce in the next transfer window and they are looking at multiple options.
According to The Athletic, Ferguson is one of those on their radar but a deal seems unlikely during the summer transfer window.
Ferguson has had a tremendous breakthrough campaign with the Seagulls. He has bagged eight goals and four assists in 21 games.
He is already valued at more than £50m but The Athletic don't believe a transfer will materialise due to the striker's demands.
Ferguson wants to be a regular starter in the development phase of his career and United may not guarantee him the same next season.
Brighton are planning to capitalise on this stance and it is reported that the youngster could sign a new improved contract very soon.
Aside from Ferguson, Kaoru Mitoma could be rewarded with a new deal too amid his excellent progress at the South Coast outfit.
