Frank Lampard set to return to Chelsea?
Frank Lampard is set to takeover as Chelsea's caretaker manager until the end of the campaign, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues recently parted ways with Graham Potter following their 2-0 Premier League defeat against Aston Villa at home.
Bruno Saltor was placed on interim charge for the Liverpool game, but the hierarchy are now looking for a new caretaker boss.
Lampard is currently the front-runner for the role and Romano claims that he could land the job if the owners give the green light.
For the long-term, Chelsea are looking at a more experienced head coach.
Julian Nagelsmann, who was recently sacked by Bayern Munich, is one of the favourites for the vacancy alongside Luis Enrique.
Mauricio Pochettino is another candidate for the permanent role, though the Blues have yet to hold any talks with the Argentine.
Pochettino is said to be eager to return to the Premier League. If the Blues ignore him, Tottenham Hotspur could be open to a reunion.
