Frimpong on Bayern and Barca radar

Bayern Munich and Barcelona have entered the race to sign Manchester United target Jeremie Frimpong this summer.

The Red Devils have been closely following the Bayer Leverkusen right-back and they recently spoke with his representative.

However, they are not alone in the pursuit and Fabrizio Romano reveals that Bayern and Barcelona have spoken with his agent too.

Bayern signed Joao Cancelo on loan from Manchester City in January but they have no plans of landing him on a permanent basis.

They are also expected to part ways with Benjamin Pavard and this could pave the way for the arrival of Frimpong from Leverkusen.

Barcelona are also eyeing another specialist right-back, but they are not in a position to spend amid Financial Fair Play concerns.

Hence, it could be a battle between Bayern and United for the 22-year-old, who has bagged eight goals and nine assists this term.

United are widely expected to part ways with Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Frimpong could replace him. He may cost a fee of around €50m.
