England star likely to join Arsenal over Newcastle United

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has the preference to join Arsenal over Newcastle United this summer.

The England international has two years left on his Hammers deal and he has no plans of penning an extension with them.

Hence, he is expected to be sold in the summer and TalkSPORT claim that the Gunners are the front-runners to land him.

Newcastle United have thrown their name into the hat recently but Rice continues to favour a move to north London.

Rice has the preference to stay in the English capital and would like to join the Gunners, who are almost guaranteed Champions League football.

Arsenal are currently top of the league with 74 points and they require just one more victory to secure a top-four berth.

The Hammers have yet to set an asking price for Rice but it has been claimed that he could be sold for £80 million.

Arsenal are apparently looking to land two midfielders this summer.
