Man Utd identify Inter Milan star as Harry Kane alternative

Manchester United have identified Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as an alternative to Harry Kane this summer.

The Red Devils have earmarked Kane as their priority striker target and they are expected to hold talks with Spurs soon.

However, there are no assurances that Spurs will sanction his sale and they could decide to run down the final year of his deal.

Hence, United could be forced to look at alternative options and Gazzetta dello Sport cite that Martinez is on their radar.

The Argentine is deemed indispensable by the Milan giants but the situation could change if they miss out on Champions League football.

This would compel them to recoup funds from player sales and it could open the door for Martinez to leave the club this summer.

As per the outlet, the World Cup winner is currently valued in the region of €80m amid his impressive 2022/23 season at Inter.

He has netted 21 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions.
