Liverpool make Moises Caicedo transfer decision
Liverpool have decided to cool their interest in signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The Merseyside outfit have been firm admirers of the Ecuador international and it was recently claimed that they could make a summer move of him.
However, according to Football Insider, the Reds are focusing on his teammate Alexis Mac Allister, who is more versatile.
Mac Allister started off his career as a defensive midfielder but can now operate from the central and attacking midfield roles.
Talks are already underway between Liverpool and his entourage and a transfer could be finalised with Brighton in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, the Reds are also planning to pursue a creative midfielder before pre-season and Mason Mount is the leading target.
Mount will enter the final year of his Chelsea deal this summer and he is widely expected to be sold by the west London giants.
The player has already been informed of Liverpool's interest through his representative and he is more than open to a transfer.
