Arsenal determined to sign La Liga right-back?
Arsenal are determined to sign Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The Gunners were heavily linked with the teenager in the last transfer window but a deal did not materialise before the deadline.
Valladolid were reluctant to sell him amid their relegation battle. Fresneda was also content to stay patient at the club.
However, the scenario will be different in the summer and Football Insider claim that the Gunners are keen on landing him.
It is added that the north London giants are ready to pay £20 million to beat Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United.
Arsenal currently have Ben White as the regular right-back. Takehiro Tomiyasu has been the deputy behind him.
The Japanese is presently sidelined after a knee surgery and his future could be in doubt if Fresneda moves to north London.
Tomiyasu has been injury prone over the past year and the Gunners have a big decision to make regarding his future.
