Arsenal planning shock swoop for Chelsea forward?

Arsenal could make a shock approach to sign Chelsea forward Kai Havertz in the upcoming transfer window.

If successful, they could enter talks with the Blues to sign Havertz, who was one of their leading goalscorers last term.

Havertz has had a difficult time with the Blues. He has struggled to replicate his showing from the Bundesliga.

Despite this, he continues to be highly rated. Real Madrid are keeping tabs and it seems Arsenal are also keen on signing him.

Chelsea have not opened negotiations with any club at the moment, but they are set to demand around £60m for Havertz.

That would represent a huge outlay for an underperforming player. It would be a surprise if Arsenal decide to pay such a fee.
