Man Utd favourites to sign 27yo as Chelsea end interest

Manchester United are favourites to sign Andre Onana with Chelsea ending their interest in the Cameroonian.

The Blues have been negotiating with Inter Milan for the goalkeeper in recent weeks, but have failed to find a solution.

They tried to lower the price tag by including a player or two, but the Nerazzurri were reluctant to consider it.

It is now reported that the Blues have decided to walk away from the pursuit as they are reluctant to pay £50 million.

The London giants have also ended their interest in AC Milan's Mike Maignan, who is not for sale at any price.

As things stand, the Blues may start pre-season with Kepa Arrizabalaga as their number one, but things could change.

Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez could be a player considered by the Blues over the next couple of weeks or so.

The Argentine has European football with Villa, but he is open to pursuing a bigger challenge ahead of next season.
