Arsenal & Man Utd to make important offers for Serie A star

Arsenal and Manchester United are expected to make important offers for Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.

The Italian was recently the subject of interest from Newcastle United, but they could not agree a fee with Inter.

The Magpies were willing to pay as much as €70m, but it was not sufficient to convince the Nerazzurri to sell him.

It is now reported by FC Inter News that Arsenal and United are lining up improved bids for the 26-year-old ace.

Inter are reluctant to lose their prized asset, but could be tempted to sell amid their ongoing financial problems.

Arsenal are currently prioritising the transfer of Declan Rice from West Ham United, but a deal is still uncertain.

With Manchester City entering the pursuit, the north London giants may consider Barella as a possible summer alternative.

Similarly, Man United could turn their attention to the former Cagliari man if they can't get a deal over the line for Mason Mount.
