Man Utd make transfer decisions on two players
Manchester United have decided against pursuing permanent deals for Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer this summer.
Weghorst joined the Red Devils on loan from Burnley in January, and he was ever-present in the starting line-up for two months.
Despite this, the Dutchman hardly made an impact for the club. His performances were criticised by the supporters.
Weghorst was brought into the squad to provide goals, but ended up operating as a midfielder in several games for United.
Meanwhile, Sabitzer also had a difficult loan stint from Bayern Munich.
He failed to recapture his form from his RB Leipzig days, and struggled to claim regular starts in the second half of the season.
The Austrian midfielder's campaign ended early due to a knee injury, and United have now decided against purchasing both players.
United have already made one marquee signing in midfielder Mason Mount, and they are eyeing another in the centre forward department.
Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund is mentioned as a top target for them.
