Chelsea offered Serie A midfielder for £34m
Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for £34 million this summer.
The Serbia international has been one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Serie A. Last season, he bagged 11 goals and eight assists.
With his contract expiring next summer, Lazio are prepared to offload him and Chelsea are one of the clubs informed of his availability.
The Rome outfit are willing to sell the 28-year-old for £34m, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues will lodge an approach for him.
Chelsea are currently prioritising the transfer of Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion. He could cost as much as £100m.
Milinkovic-Savic has also been linked with Juventus over the past few years, but Lazio are reluctant to sell to a direct league rival.
Arsenal are also long-term admirers of the Serbian, but they are prioritising the transfer of Declan Rice from West Ham United as of now.
After Rice's arrival, the Gunners have been touted to move for Romeo Lavia, who is currently valued at £50m by Southampton.
