French club enter race to sign wantaway Chelsea striker

Marseille have reportedly entered the race to sign wantaway Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon star joined the Blues from Barcelona on a permanent transfer last summer, and he had a poor debut campaign.

The 34-year-old netted just three goals from 21 appearances. He is now expected to leave the Blues on a permanent deal.

Barcelona were initially interested in re-signing the former Arsenal man, but they can't afford to pay a transfer fee for now.

The La Liga outfit are facing financial restrictions from La Liga, and they won't be permitted to spend until the New Year.
