Arsenal target on his way to Aston Villa for €50m

Arsenal target Moussa Diaby looks set to join Aston Villa from Bayer Leverkusen for €50m plus add-ons.

The Gunners have been long-term admirers of the France international, and they tried to sign him in January.

Leverkusen put them off with a €100m price tag, but they have now accepted just over €50m from the Villains.

Diaby has already agreed personal terms with the West Midlands side, and he is expected to join them very soon.

The news is a big blow for the Gunners, who are planning to sign a right winger after recouping transfer funds.

The north London giants have already spent more than €230m this summer to sign Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.

They are now expected to focus on outgoings before targeting a right winger during the closing stages of the window.

Diaby is no longer an option for the club, but they should have several other names on their wishlist to purchase this summer.
