Chelsea close to agreeing terms with Arsenal target
Chelsea are reportedly close to agreeing terms with Arsenal target and Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus, according to Ben Jacobs.
The west London giants have already strengthened their attack with the likes of Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and Angelo this summer.
However, they are eyeing another reinforcement and reports claim that they have already made contact with Ajax over a potential deal for Kudus.
Kudus had an impressive 2022/23 season with the Amsterdam outfit. He scored 18 goals and provided another seven assists for them.
He has now made the decision to pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere, and that could be in the Premier League interest judging by interest.
Aside from Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion are also interested in the Ghanaian, who can play in several positions.
He started off as a central or defensive midfielder at Ajax, but over the past year, he has played either up front or from the right wing role.
Chelsea are huge admirers of his versatility. They currently have the upper hand over Arsenal, who need player sales for more funds.
