Brighton to make move for Ecuador defender Willian Pacho

Willian Pacho set for Premier League?

Brighton and Hove Albion could make a move for Willian Pacho before he has even kicked a football for Eintracht Frankfurt, as the South Coast club appear to be locked in talks to sign the centre-back for around £30 million. With two international goals in three games to his name already, the talented 21-year-old defender progressed through Royal Antwerp's team last season, catching the eye of numerous teams in Europe.

Brighton already have Moises Caicedo, Jeremy Sarmiento and Pervis Estupinan on the books, but are weighing up an acquisition for a fourth player with a transfer move in the works for Pacho.

Pacho came through the ranks at local team Independiente del Valle before moving to Belgium. It was there, under the guidance of coach Marc van Bommel, that the 6 foot 2 defender emerged as one of South America's best young defenders.

Brighton are locked in talks with Chelsea regarding a transfer deal for Moises Caicedo, and will have funds to spend should a deal be wrapped up in time for the new season.
