Chelsea eye transfer deal for Israeli starlet Oscar Gloukh

Gloukh set for Blues

Red Bull Salzburg's attacking midfielder Oscar Gloukh is a surprise target for Chelsea, as the Blues have been impressed with the 19-year-old's development since moving to Austria from Maccabi Tel Aviv. The player is considered one of Europe's brightest prospects and is valued by RB Salzburg in the region of 30 million euros already.

Since making a move to Salzburg this year, the player has appeared 15 times and scored two goals for his current club. Gloukh made his debut for his national team of Israel in 2022, appearing a total of six times since and scoring 2 goals.

Arsenal and Man City were also linked with a move for Gloukh, but it is Chelsea who are in pole position to sign the youngster. It is rumoured that the Israeli has already turned down a move to Barcelona as he wants a guarantee of first-team football, and he believes a transfer to Chelsea could guarantee that.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has spent considerable amounts of money acquiring top young players from across the world, and a move for Gloukh would come as no surprise as the Blues prepare to spend big in in the remaining month of the transfer window.
