Rochemback joins Sporting

Brazilian midfielder Fabio Rochemback has decided to return to Sporting Lisbon. The Middlesbrough man scored on his final game for the club in the 8-1 drubbing of Man City, but has decided to move back to Portugal.

“I can’t hide that I like Sporting a lot,” said Rochemback yesterday, before revealing that he was close to returning to the Lions in January.

“Tomorrow (today) we’ll talk and hopefully everything will be agreed. It will be good to go on holiday with everything signed.”
