Brighton beat Arsenal & Chelsea to sign attacker
Brighton & Hove Albion have beaten Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Ajax star Mohammed Kudus this summer.
The Ghana international has been one of the best performers for the Dutch giants, and he is now on his way to the Premier League.
The Seagulls have agreed a deal worth €40 million in principle with Ajax, and Kudus is now close to accepting personal terms.
The news will come as a big blow for Arsenal and Chelsea, who recently made contact with Ajax to make aware of their interest.
With the lack of offers from both clubs, Brighton have now taken the lead and they are on the cusp of landing the 23-year-old ace.
Kudus played on the right wing and up front for Ajax last term. He scored 19 goals and provided another eight assists for them.
However, the Ghanaian star can also operate in the centre of the park. He could be seen as a replacement for Alexis Mac Allister.
