Chelsea agree eight-year contract with South American star

Moises Caicedo news

Caicedo close to Chelsea transfer

Chelsea have agreed an eight-year contract with Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo ahead of his transfer.

The South American star has been determined to join the Blues this summer, and he has already turned down Liverpool.

The Merseyside giants agreed a deal worth £111m with Brighton earlier this week, but Caicedo refused to discuss terms.

The Blues are now in advanced talks with the Seagulls for Caicedo, and a deal worth £115m could be agreed by tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the club have already sorted personal terms with the player.

Caicedo is set to put pen-to-paper on an eight year deal with an option for 12 months once a formal agreement is reached.

The Blues are expecting a busy end to the summer transfer window. They are also close to landing teenager Romeo Lavia from Southampton.

Lavia was brilliant in his debut season with the Saints last term, and he is now on the verge of joining the Blues for £55m.
