Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that he will be without six players for the Premier League opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Red Devils start their campaign at Old Trafford on Monday night, and ahead of the game, Ten Hag has provided an injury update on the first-team squad.

Kobbie Mainoo, Tyrell Malacia, Tom Heaton and Amad Diallo have all been injured, and Ten Hag confirmed that none of them will feature against the Midlands side.

Aside from the quartet, the club will be without the services of Rasmus Hojlund and Dean Henderson as well. The duo are not fit enough to make the matchday squad.

The Red Devils made a poor start to the previous season with back-to-back league losses. Ten Hag will expect his players to make a much better start this time around.

The fixtures are not easy on paper. After Wolves, United have an away trip to Tottenham Hotspur before facing Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion.
