Chelsea star makes temporary move to Real Madrid
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan agreement.
The Spain international managed to regain a regular starting role with the Blues earlier this year, but there was always speculation over his future.
With Robert Sanchez's arrival, the Blues opened the door for his exit.
Bayern Munich were initially interested in signing him on loan, but they were beaten to his signature by Madrid after Thibaut Courtois's injury.
Arrizabalaga was a long-term target for Madrid during his time at Athletic, and the Spanish giants have decided to sign him on a short-term deal.
The club don't have the option to buy him at the end of the season, considering they can't guarantee him game time when Courtois is fit again.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are likely to recruit a new deputy keeper with Arrizabalaga's exit. Sanchez has been promoted as the first-choice.
Altay Bayindir of Fenerbahce could be an option for the west London giants. Manchester United are also tracking his situation.
