Arsenal identify Southampton star as cover for Timber
Arsenal have identified Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters as potential cover for the injured Jurrien Timber.
Timber suffered a knee injury in the opening game of the new Premier League season, and he could be sidelined for many months.
As a result, the Gunners are scrambling for a good replacement and Express claim that they could pursue the services of Walker-Peters.
The 26-year-old has been linked with the Gunners in the past and it remains to be seen whether they will make a formal approach for him.
Southampton are not actively looking to sell him at the moment, but could change their stance if they receive around £30 million.
Walker-Peters has the ability to play in either full-back role. He is predominantly a right-back, but can easily switch flanks.
The Englishman possesses strong tackling skills alongside the ability to win regular duels. He is good with his transitional play.
He would be a decent acquisition to fill the void left by Timber.
