Crystal Palace consider move for Kelechi Iheanacho
Kelechi Iheanacho is a target for Crystal Palace, as the Eagles manager Roy Hodgson looks to add attacking impetus to his squad before the end of the transfer window. The Nigerian forward, who has had spells with Man City and current club Leicester City, is desperate for a return to the Premier League.
Iheanacho arrived at City in 2014, spending three years there and helping his club win the League Cup in 2015-16. From there, a move to Leicester City followed, and the 2021 FA Cup success was a particular highlight for the striker.
However, last seasons dismal league season for the Foxes saw Iheanacho's side sink to the Championship, leaving the 26-year-old forward looking for a transfer elsewhere.
With 12 goals in 45 games for Nigeria, the forward is the type of goalscorer that Palace are looking to add to their squad, and a transfer fee of around £28 million has been suggested.
As we approach the final week of the transfer window, Palace are looking to wrap up a deal promptly as there appears to be some interest from Saudi Arabia.
