Chelsea handed boost in signing Mohammed Kudus
Chelsea have been handed a boost in signing Mohammed Kudus from Ajax before the transfer window closes.
The Ghana international has been the subject of multiple bids from West Ham United, but they are yet to convince Ajax.
They recently proposed to pay around €42m for him, but Ajax are looking in upwards of €50m for the 23-year-old.
The Blues are one of the clubs interested in signing him, and they now have the opportunity to win the transfer race.
Kudus can play on the right wing or up front. He is also capable of operating in midfield with relative comfort.
This would make him a perfect signing for the Blues before the deadline, but they need to meet the asking price soon.
Ajax want to sort Kudus' future before the weekend as they want to pursue a suitable replacement in the transfer market.
Kudus has also been linked with Arsenal, but their move for him depends on the departure of Folarin Balogun this summer.
