Kieran Tierney to move to Real Sociedad?

Kieran Tierney news

Tierney set for Arsenal departure

Arsenal are likely to allow Scotland defender Kieran Tierney to join Real Sociedad on loan, with the left-sided defender to pen a year long deal in Spain. The player arrived at Arsenal in 2019 from Celtic and has slipped down the pecking order since the arrival of Jurrien Timber and Zinchenko and now is ready to leave the Emirates Stadium in search of regular first-team football.

Sociedad are ready to then discuss a permanent deal once Tierney's loan deal ends, as the Gunners seek a transfer fee close to £30 million next summer.

Tierney had been linked with a move to Newcastle United, but that deal has fallen through as the Toon Army seek alternative assets.

The defender has 24 months remaining on his Emirates deal, and has been told that he is surplus to requirements at the Gunners.

It is understood that Emile Smith-Rowe could also leave alongside Folarin Balogun before the end of the season, as Smith-Rowe could be headed for the exit door out on loan to another club.
