Bayern enter Chelsea talks for Chalobah

Bayern Munich have opened negotiations with Chelsea to sign Trevoh Chalobah, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The centre-back is currently recuperating from an injury, but he could be on the move before the transfer window closes.

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel handed Chalobah with his breakthrough at Chelsea, and he is keen on reuniting with him.

The German champions have proposed a loan deal with a buy option, but the Blues are insisting on a permanent transfer.

Chalobah can also play in the right-back role. Bayern could see him as a replacement for wantaway star Benjamin Pavard.

Pavard has already agreed personal terms with Inter Milan. A fee has also been finalised, but Bayern need a replacement first.

It remains to be seen whether the Bundesliga holders will be successful in landing Chalobah from the west London giants.

If they can't secure a deal, it is most likely that they will deny Pavard from joining Inter before the transfer window shuts.
