Arsenal midfielder unlikely to join Chelsea

Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe is unlikely to make the move to Chelsea before the transfer deadline.

The 23-year-old has had a tough time with the Gunners, and he has not played a single minute in the league season.

As a result, he has grown frustrated and reports have claimed that he could make the switch to Chelsea permanently.

While the Gunners are open to his exit, it is reported that Smith Rowe has no desire of moving to the west London side.

The Blues have an interest in his services, but the playmaker does not believe he could play regularly for them either.

It remains to be seen whether other clubs enter the race for his signature.

Aston Villa have been long-term admirers of the Gunners graduate, and they attempted to land him a couple of years ago.

Villa recently signed Nicolo Zaniolo to fill the void left by Emiliano Buendia's injury, but could still pursue a deal for Smith Rowe.
