Chelsea star wants to continue at Real Madrid

Chelsea star Kepa Arrizabalaga has spoken about his desire of staying with Real Madrid following his season-long loan deal.

The Spaniard was the Blues' number one during the second half of the previous season, and he was expected to start in goal for the new Premier League campaign.

However, the shot-stopper made the surprise decision to leave on loan. Bayern Munich were initially favourites to land him before he was lured by Real Madrid's offer after Thibaut Courtois' serious injury.

Arrizabalaga has been ever-present for the La Liga giants since making his debut, and he has now spoken about the prospect of staying with the club next season.

He told Marca: "I really hope Real Madrid will keep me at the end of the season. I had other important offers but Real Madrid is Real Madrid. When Real Madrid wanted me everything was clear."

Chelsea currently have Robert Sanchez as the first-choice goalkeeper. The Spaniard has been inconsistent and could be under pressure following the international break.

The Blues signed Djordje Petrovic from New England Revolution as the back-up goalkeeper. The Serbian could be handed his debut at some point of time this month.
