Chelsea could be favourites to sign Victor Osimhen?

Chelsea could be favourites to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen at the end of the campaign, according to Football Transfers.

The west London giants signed Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku to bolster their attack in the recent transfer window.

Despite this, they are lagging behind their rivals. Jackson has netted just one goal from the first four games of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Nkunku has yet to make his debut for the club, having picked up a serious knee injury during the pre-season tour.

The Blues are already planning to sign a marquee striker next year and it is claimed that Osimhen could be targeted by them.

Osimhen won't be leaving Napoli until next summer, but Chelsea could play the waiting game to secure his signature.

The striker has not committed to a new contract in Naples and he will enter the final year of his deal in June next year.

Napoli could be forced to lower their price tag as a result, and this could play into the hands of Chelsea next summer.
