Chelsea & Arsenal to battle for English striker?
Chelsea and Arsenal could go head-to-head to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney during the summer transfer window.
The Englishman had a tremendous recent campaign with the Bees, contributing 20 goals in the Premier League.
However, he was handed an eight-month ban by FA right before the season concluded due to his betting breaches.
Toney will be allowed to play again in January and it appears he could be on his way out of Brentford, as per Romano.
Chelsea and Arsenal are keeping tabs on him, but there are also other clubs that could enter the race for his signature.
Romano claims that Brentford are aware of the player's desire to move on from the club at some point in 2024.
It could happen in either January or next summer, but the Bees are expected to demand at least £60m to sell him.
Earlier this year, Toney said that Arsenal are one of his favourite clubs. The Gunners could have the edge in the race.
