Chelsea manager does not trust defender anymore
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino does not trust Marc Cucurella, according to Spanish publication AS.
The left-back has been deemed surplus to requirements by Pochettino and he has started just one game in the Carabao Cup.
Cucurella had the option to leave the Blues before the summer transfer deadline, but he opted to fight for his position.
It is now reported that the manager has no trust in the former Brighton & Hove Albion man and he is free to leave the club in the New Year.
Cucurella has not played a single minute in the league campaign with Levi Colwill, Ben Chilwell and Ian Maatsen preferred over him.
The Blues face Brighton in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and Cucurella will be hoping to start for the club.
Chelsea have had a dreadful start to the campaign under Pochettino, and they have picked just five points from six league matches.
The Blues face a difficult schedule after the next international break, and things could only get tougher for them and Pochettino.
