Chelsea favourites to sign Victor Osimhen in January?

Chelsea could be serious contenders to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window.

The Nigerian star recently fell out with manager Rudi Garcia on the field after he was substituted in the goalless draw versus Bologna.

In the same game, the striker squandered a glorious penalty and his miss was mocked by Napoli's TikTok team following the draw.

Osimhen has now decided to take action against the Serie A champions and reports claim that he is open to leaving them at the turn of the year.

Chelsea are one of his long-term admirers and reports claim that they could be front-runners to land him due to their financial firepower.

Napoli were looking for around £180m for the Nigerian this summer, but he could be available for £150m at the beginning of 2024.

Chelsea managed to balance their books with several outgoings last summer, and they have the capacity to land Osimhen.

The big question is whether the Nigerian would be tempted to join them, considering their struggles over the past 14 months.
