Man Utd chasing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg deal

Manchester United have opened talks to sign Tottenham's out-of-favour defensive midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the January transfer window, as Erik Ten Hag seeks to expand his Danish contingent of players. Hojbjerg has been told that he is free to leave White Hart Lane, as long as a team can match the club's estimated £20 million price tag.
28-year-old Hojbjerg has been at Spurs since 2020, played 113 games in the Premier League, scoring eight goals, but his time in North London is coming to an end as Ange Postecoglou looks to offload the former Southampton and Bayern Munich central midfielder.
It is understood that Ten Hag is a huge fan of Hojbjerg, and wants to pair the player with fellow countryman Christian Eriksen in the middle of the park at Old Trafford.
Spurs have had an impressive start to the season without having Hojbjerg anywhere near the club's starting team, which ultimately means Postecoglou is willing to cash in on the player.
Man Utd may have some competition on their hands to sign Hojbjerg, as German club Werder Bremen and French giants Paris St Germain are also said to be interested.
