Wan-Bissaka close to injury comeback

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not far off from returning from a hamstring injury.

The Englishman sustained the setback last month and it was initially predicted that he may not return until the back end of November.

However, speaking ahead of the Sheffield United game, Ten Hag has revealed that Wan-Bissaka is close to returning to team training.

The news is a huge boost for the Red Devils, who have been overly reliant on Diogo Dalot at right-back in the absence of Wan-Bissaka.

Dalot has made vast improvement under the guidance of Ten Hag, but he lacks the defensive attributes that Wan-Bissaka provides.

The former Crystal Palace man is one of the best defenders in one-on-one situations and rarely allows his opponent to dribble past him.

United have lacked that defensive assurance over the past few weeks and will be hoping to have him back in action as soon as possible.
