Arsenal & Chelsea get to know Ivan Toney asking price
Arsenal and Chelsea will need to pay around £65 million to purchase Brentford striker Ivan Toney in January.
The Englishman is currently serving a ban for breaching FA betting rules and he won't be available to play again until January 17.
Despite this, clubs are in contact with new representatives Stellar and Fabrizio Romano claims that he could leave in January or next summer.
The Bees are aware of the high-profile interest in his services and they would be willing to sanction his departure for £65 million.
Toney netted 21 goals in the previous campaign - out of which 20 came in the top-flight. He is now eager to pursue a bigger challenge.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are craving for a goalscoring number nine in their line-up and could go head-to-head to land his signature.
It remains to be seen which club will make the first approach. The Blues could be in a better position with their financial backing.
Arsenal, on the other hand, could be reluctant to spend big in January and could propose a loan deal with an option to buy next summer.
