Mauricio Pochettino on double Chelsea injury blow
Mauricio Pochettino on double Chelsea injury blow

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that the Blues are suffering from bad luck after injuries to Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk.
Fernandez and Mudryk picked up minor muscle injuries in the lead-up to the Brentford game and they were not in the matchday squad today.
Their absence was felt in the starting line-up. Without Fernandez, the Blues lacked the cutting edge to their gameplay in the final third.
Mudryk scored and won the penalty against Arsenal. Nicolas Jackson, who replaced him in the XI, struggled to impose himself again.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino revealed that the duo got injured in the last training session before the west London derby at the Bridge.
He added that it is nothing other than bad luck and the club did not have the same quality to bring to the bench during the 2-0 loss to the Bees.
Pochettino said: "We lost yesterday Mudryk and Enzo in the last moment. It’s not a signal. It’s bad luck, bad luck that there is injured players and we didn’t have more to bring to the bench."
With the defeat, the Blues have dropped to the second half of the table and they are currently 11th with only 12 points.
