Chelsea could beat Arsenal to English defender

Chelsea could beat Arsenal to the signing of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi at the end of the campaign.
The Blues sold Guehi to the Eagles in the summer of 2021, but they included a first refusal clause as part of the deal.
This could put them in an advantageous position to re-sign Guehi when the opportunity arises during the summer.
According to The Sun, Arsenal are keen admirers of Guehi and they plan to make an approach to land his services.
Palace are likely to demand over £50 million. Should the Gunners be willing to pay, the Blues have the right to match the bid.
Guehi was described as one of the best young talents at Chelsea, but he chose to leave them for regular game time.
The Blues could take the opportunity to re-sign him next summer which would be a potential blow for the Gunners.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also admirers of Guehi, but they are likely to face the same situation.
