Man Utd explain Marcus Rashford absence vs Fulham
Manchester United have revealed that Marcus Rashford missed the Premier League win over Fulham with a leg injury.
The Englishman has had a difficult start to the campaign and he has scored only goal in all competitions this season.
As a result, there is plenty of pressure on him and there were suggestions that he was dropped for the Fulham encounter.
However, United have clarified that Rashford was not fit to be involved following a leg injury in training this week.
In Rashford's absence, Alejandro Garnacho got the nod on the left wing and he had a lively performance over 90 minutes.
He provided an assist for Scott McTominay's early goal, but that was chalked off by VAR due to Harry Maguire being offside.
Despite this, they came on the winning side after Bruno Fernandes found the back of the net in the 91st minute of the game.
The victory has taken the Red Devils to 18 points on the table and they are now within five points of the Champions League spots.
