Man Utd want to sign Brazilian star in Antony swap?

Manchester United are looking at the prospect of signing Flamengo striker Gabriel Barbosa in the next transfer window.

The Brazilian has been a key player for Flamengo in recent years but he could be sold soon with his contract expiring in December 2024.

This has caught the eye of the Red Devils and The Mirror claim that they are exploring a swap deal with Antony moving the other way on loan.

Flamengo currently value their striker at £20 million but United plan to lower the price tag by sending Antony in the opposite direction.

The Serie A outfit are open to the potential deal and it remains to be seen whether a transfer materialise at the beginning of the year.

Barbosa could be excited by the challenge presented by United, but the big question is whether Antony would be keen on a return home.

He has been a mainstay in the starting line-up for United without any output, but could still turn down a move away from Europe.
