Fabrizio Romano addresses Raphael Varane rumours
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the future of Manchester United defender Raphael Varane ahead of the January transfer window.
The Frenchman has started on the bench for United in each of the last two league games and this has led to speculation over his future.
He has been linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia but speaking to The United Stand, Romano has said that there is nothing at the moment.
While he is appreciated by clubs in the Middle East, United have not received any proposals for his services over the past couple of months.
The scenario could, however, change ahead of the New Year, suppose Varane continues to remain on the bench over the forthcoming games.
Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans were preferred over him in the recent win at Fulham and manager Erik ten Hag may opt for the same duo again.
The Dutchman does not like to change a winning combination and he could stick with the defensive pairing for the clash against Copenhagen.
