Man Utd make transfer decision on French defender

Manchester United are prepared to move for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Todibo was a top target for the Red Devils in the last transfer window but they could not afford him without a big-money departure.

Harry Maguire was touted to leave for most of the summer, but the centre-back made the decision to stay at the club in the end.

His decision was not well received by the fans but he has managed to win over their support over the past one month or so.

The Englishman has been picked ahead of Raphael Varane in the XI and there is now speculation that the latter could leave this winter.

Amidst this, Sport claim that United want to purchase Todibo in January.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is currently on the verge of securing a minority stake at the club and he will be responsible for sporting matters.

The British billionaire is prepared to provide the financial backing for the club to make at least two signings in the New Year.
