Liverpool favourites to sign South American star in January
Liverpool are reportedly in pole position to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade during the winter transfer window.
The Merseyside giants explored a deal for the Brazil international last summer, but were unable to strike an agreement.
Fluminense refused to accept his sale at the halfway stage of the season but they are willing to consider offers in the New Year.
Sport claim that the Reds are clear favourites to sign him, though they have yet to make a fresh offer on the table to Fluminense.
Andre will be representing Fluminense in the Club World Cup in December. He could be making his final appearances for the club.
Manchester United and Arsenal are also watching him closely but Liverpool seem favourites, having agreed personal terms last summer.
Andre is a defensive midfielder by trade. He is superb with the ball at his feet and does not shy away from making strong challenges.
He could be purchased for around €40 million.
