Man Utd convinced about signing Portuguese sensation

Manchester United are convinced about signing Portuguese wonderkid Joao Neves after keeping tabs on him this season.

The club believe he is ready to take the next step in the Premier League and it is unclear whether they can afford him this winter.

Benfica have no intention to sell him during the January transfer window and United may need to trigger his €100m release clause.

The club are currently not in a position to do so with their financial situation but the scenario could change in the New Year.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is on the verge of accepting a minority stake at the club and he is apparently willing to provide funds for January.
