Bruno Fernandes breaks silence on Saudi transfer links
Bruno Fernandes breaks silence on Saudi transfer links
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has confirmed that there was interest in signing him from Saudi Arabia last summer.
The Portuguese is one of the best playmakers in the Premier League and he has been crucial for the Red Devils over the last three years.
He is currently the captain of the club after his promotion last summer, but there remains speculation that he could leave them soon.
When pressed on Saudi interest, Fernandes revealed that there were contacts but none of the clubs made an approach to him over a transfer.
Fernandes added that he is clearly content with his position at United but could have a decision to make, suppose there is a Saudi proposal.
United would not want to lose the services of Fernandes in the coming years. They could negotiate a new long-term contract with him soon.
The Portuguese deserves another extension for his wonderful exploits in the final third. He recently scored a late winner against Fulham away.
