Man Utd & Arsenal not looking to sign Brazilian striker
Manchester United and Arsenal are not interested in signing Santos striker Marcos Leonardo during the winter transfer window.
Leonardo has had a fine campaign with Santos in Brazilian football. He has netted 21 goals from just 45 appearances in all competitions.
He is on demand as a result but Goal Brasil claim that neither Arsenal nor United have made contact with the player's representatives.
It is added that all parties associated with the player believe the Premier League duo won't enter the race to sign him in the New Year.
Instead, Newcastle United are the front-runners to purchase him from the Premier League while Roma are his long-term admirers.
Roma came on the verge of landing him from Santos last summer before a disagreement over the payment structure pulled the plug on the deal.
The Serie A outfit remain keen on securing his services and they are prepared to make a renewed approach at the beginning of the year.
