Turkish champions want to sign Man Utd midfielder

Turkish champions Galatasaray have their sights on signing Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek this winter.

The Dutchman suffered a serious knee injury at the start of the year and he only made his comeback during pre-season last summer.

As a result, there was limited interest in signing him in the last transfer window. Sporx now claim that Gala are eyeing a winter deal.

Van de Beek was linked with the Istanbul outfit earlier this year, but they were reluctant to make an offer due to his injury situation.

The club are more assured of making an approach in the New Year, but they are likely to propose a loan deal with a buy option.

Van de Beek was signed for €39 million by United in 2020, but it is unlikely that they will receive more than €10m for a sale.

That would also depend on whether he can recapture his form from his Ajax days. He has looked a forlorn figure in his time at United.
