Chelsea and Arsenal to battle for Nigerian striker?
Chelsea and Arsenal are prepared to go head-to-head to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen next year.
The Blues have had a dismal start to the Premier League campaign and they are currently 10th with only 16 points.
On the contrary, Arsenal are top of the table with 30 points from 13 games. They recently beat Brentford 1-0.
Despite the different situations, both London clubs are said to be looking at Osimhen ahead of the New Year.
It is unclear whether Napoli will consider his mid-season exit but the striker looks set to leave them pretty soon.
Osimhen has indirectly confirmed that he would like to move to the Premier League at some stage in his career.
Chelsea are one of his favourite clubs, but they may not even qualify for the Champions League next season.
On the other hand, Arsenal are on the up and they look set to challenge for the league title for yet another year.
Both clubs may have to pay over £100 million to sign Osimhen in 2024.
