Liverpool have submitted their initial bid for forward Kyanno Lorenzo, ahead of interest in the 18-year-old starlet from rivals such as Borussia Dortmund, Paris St Germain and Atalanta. The player has caught the eye for Benfica's under-23 club and Holland's under-19 national setup.

Comfortable playing as either a left winger or on the right flank, the half Dutch half Portuguese youngster has a contract that runs until next summer and Liverpool are ready to pay a fee now to secure the player's signature.

Jurgen Klopp has asked his scouting network to prepare a dossier on Lorenzo's development, with a view to sealing a transfer in January for a fee of around 15 million euros.

It is understood that Klopp sees the player as a possible long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, who could for Saudi Arabia next summer. The youngster played for both Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam in his home country before departing for Portugal in 2021.

In the Liga Revelacao so far this season, the player has scored a goal and is a first team regular, whilst he has also returned another goal playing in the UEFA Youth League.
