Arsenal midfielder suspended for West Ham United clash
Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz is suspended for the upcoming clash against West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium.
The Germany international had a slow start to his Gunners career, but he has grown in confidence over the past month.
Havertz has four goals since the November international break, but he won't be available to face the Hammers next week.
The 24-year-old picked up his fifth yellow card of the Premier League campaign yesterday. As a result, he will serve a one-game ban.
The news is a blow for the Gunners, considering his influence on the playing field since the last international break.
In his absence, Leandro Trossard could come into the central midfield role. He has already played in the position a few times.
Arsenal are currently top of the standings with 40 points on the board, just one ahead of Liverpool as well as Aston Villa.
They host the Hammers at the Emirates on Tuesday and will be eyeing nothing less than a victory to stay at the top.
